What "digitial innovation" do you feel best deserves the title of "revolutionary" and why?

The digital innovation that I feel that best describes the title of revolutionary is the Internet. I believe the Internet is a digital version of Gutenberg’s printing press invention in the 20 century because it has become the turning point of communication in our society.

The Internet has changed how people communicate with each other worldwide. For example, in the past people used to handwrite mails or call others to engage in contact with their friends and families however, after the creation of the Internet, people became interconnected with emails and on social network websites like Facebook or Skype. With the growth of the Internet, access to books such as ebooks and google books became easily accessible worldwide.

The Internet creates a virtual world by interconnecting people on the web. People create and become more involved in their own community by sharing common interests on the web without any physical or geographical barrier. Thus, I feel that the Internet best describe the digital innovation as a revolution.
